BEACON (BIOMETRIC ENABLED ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM) :

Client : BHEL, Hyderabad .

Description : The main aim of the project is biometric access controlling of BHEL employees and attendance monitoring. A distributed system with a central administrative server (CID) managing multiple CC’S over TCP/IP, and a hardware device (STEC) over RS-232 protocol, with greater emphasis on network related problems. Data captured by the system is analyzed every day and calculating wages based on captured.

Role :

Monitoring scheduled job.

Developing PL/SQL stored procedures and packages as per the requirement.

Understanding the flow specifications and responsible for the implementation of the Application.

Development of Forms using Oracle Forms 10g.

Performed front-end validations using PL/SQL.

Modules :

Main Masters Maintenance:- Data related to employees, Swipe cards, Departments, Shift codes, Leave credits of all employees, Holidays, Shift categories,Day wise attendance status is maintained in this module.

Data Acquisition System:- It contains reference data, regarding next day entry

/exit of employees through gates in respective timings with special permissions.

Data preparation for Payroll:- Attendance data related to employees of every month will be generated for the processing of payroll.

Month End Processing:- leave crediting for every six months, leave balances transfer for next month, file generation for Clocked Hours(reward),Encashment of leaves, Milk,Sunday, Night shift allowances for all employees are done through this module.

Reports:- Different oracle reports were developed and attached to menu to meet the day to day, weekly, monthly and annual requirements by the HR department.

Present Work profile:

Writing SQL queries and PL / SQL blocks for data manipulation and generation of reports.

Meeting clients face to face and on site to ascertain requirements.

Handling and analyzing large amount of technical data.
