PROJECT UNDERTAKEN:
Project Title : Analysis of aluminized sugar aided rocket propellant.
Description : Preparation of rocket propellant using sucrose as a fuel, potassium nitrate as oxidizer with small quantity of aluminium is added as thrust augmenter and analyzing it for different parameters, aiming to determine how much specific impulse is increased by adding aluminium to the basic propellant and how it affects the engine performance .Experiment is conducted by comparing propellant with aluminium and propellant without aluminium. Experimentally we obtained a valve of specific impulse is more in with aluminium propellant than without aluminium propellant.
WORKSHOPS:
Attended “Aero-Modelling” workshop held at Shree Devi Institute of Technology.
Workshop in “Gliders and Water rocket” at St. Joseph College of Engineering.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Participated in “VerTechX 6.0” a national level technical fest conducted at MVJ College of Engineering Bangalore and won 2nd prize.
Participated in “SURABHI 16” inter college fest and obtained 1st prize in Demanding Selfi.
Secured 1st prize in “SAMSHODHAN’17”, a final year project exhibition organized by Shree Devi Institute of Technology.
Participated in “ENVISION 2K17” a cultural event held at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangalore.
Participated in “Tech Yuva ‘16” a cultural event held at Srinivas College of Engineering.
