• GIS Final Project Estimation on Hi-Tech Industry Distribution in Ithaca: collected county and village level data sets from county governmental website and US Census Bureau; chose and matched coordinate systems for data; changed the XY data into point shape files and joined the attribute table and calculated; used different estimation tools (Buffer, Multiple Ring Buffer) in GIS to visualize different study aspects of these Hi-Tech companies’ distribution and constructed maps; gave suggestion based on the maps.
• Tableau Project US Data-Related Job Market Analysis for Non-US Citizen: collected and manipulated 200 thousand data in Tableau; conducting data analysis by using trend line, formula calculation, filter, histogram and line graph; understood the ranking of salary among different job categories and the differences in salary for each job categories among different states based on the analysis result; generated results into report and posted it on the website.
