INTERNSHIP

CNC Department, Engine Division at Hindustan Aeronautical Limited. June-Aug 2014 Industry Internship Program on Automobile Designing and Styling Using Reverse Engg. Jan-feb 2013 ACADEMIC PROJECT

Developed a 3-Axis Robotic Arm controlled by a Haptic robotic suit. (2012) Investigation on Phase Transformation of Cryogenically Treated and Microwave Irradiated Tungsten Carbide inserts.

• Objective was to evaluate phase transformation of Tungsten Carbide Inserts a) As received, b) Cryotreated and c) Cryotreated and microwave irradiated. The tool inserts were first cryo treated and then microwave irradiated for a different set of time intervals.

• The experimental procedures carried out to obtain the result were Cryogenic Treatment, Microwave irradiation, Microhardness test, X-ray diffraction analysis.

Redesign of a drone – Design for manufacturability

• Reverse engineered an existing drone in the market and evaluated possibilities of a more frugal redesign using Creo software. Objective was to find out optimal ways to keep the total manufacturing cost lower than the current cost.

• Component cost analysis, Make or buy analysis, Production cost estimation, supply chain costs, time involvement were all considered. By making optimal component reduction, design efficiency was increased and overall cost was reduced. Project on Marketing and Distribution Logistics of a Company for Supply Chain Management

• Objective was to analyze integrated logistics and provide recommendations and strategies. Company assigned was Dupont Engineering Polymers and how new policies of Gard Automobiles on quality and efficiency and delivery was effecting Dupont’s future in acquisition of its business.

• Our Objective was achieved by providing better strategies and recommendations based on the knowledge of Supply Chain Concepts that could have theoretically provide Dupont the ability to full fill the demands of its customers with reduced cost and increased efficiency and no delays in delivery of the product.
