Capstone Team Member
Worked with a team to create a solution to an issue of fog appearing on the lens of the 3-D camera of the da Vinci robot during surgery. Formed a full project plan including problem analysis, generation of alternatives, solution selection, and prototype design. Worked long hours with the team to log testing, analyze data, and document the project in a report. Analyze the economic impact of the of the solution and how it would improve patient care.
Produced a report of the economic and healthcare impact of the fogging issue during surgery.
Utilizing 3-D printing and creative thinking, a fully functioning prototype was created that successfully kept the fogging from occurring in simulated testing.
Formulated a suitable testing environment.
Created a formal report and presented findings for peers and judges.
