SUMMARY
Motivated by accomplishment, I love a challenge. My strengths are programming in RPG, CLP, DDS, SQL, EDI, and forms design, mostly on IBM midrange platforms over the past 30 years. I have worked with management and end users alike to define, design, code, test, document, and train users on programming solutions. I am most familiar with sales analysis, distribution, warehouse management and financial aspects of business. I have regularly created many one-time reports for output to Excel, Access, or a form-designer, and have occasionally turned these into sub-applications of their own. I love learning new concepts and using new tools and seeing them implemented.

Programmer/Analyst - Cole Papers Inc., Fargo, ND September 2001 – Present (16 years) As the sole programmer on the iSeries, I have modified existing and created new programs or procedures using CLP, RPG, DDS, & SQL (interactive and embedded RPG), and Query. I’m also very familiar with Adobe Jetforms, TLAshford barcode software, EDI concepts and mapping, and using Access & Excel to create reports using ODBC. Computer Programmer - Jayhill Software November 1998 – June 2000 (1 year 7 months) Consultant using Visual FoxPro to maintain Crop Insurance software for small company. Direct contact with end users to review needed changes, modify, test, and implement code for their specific state / agency needs. Logged programming hours for customer billing software used by company. Computer Programmer/Analyst - AFBIS, Fargo, ND February 1997 – October 1998 (1 year 8 months) Used RPG III and 400 on AS/400 to maintain crop insurance software for multi-peril. Wrote some batch pc files for purpose of nightly ftp of files to branches.
