Professional Experience:
2011-2016 Just Desserts Fairfield Ca. Plant Manager/Director of Operations
I reported to the V.P. of Operations. Reporting to me production supervisor’s manager, maintenance manager, sanitation supervisor warehouse supervisor. I was responsible for the daily production and employee schedules. I reported all production and labor daily in our ERP system Were able to reduce accidents by working with HR to implement a safety team and programs with weekly meetings. We were able to improve quality with help of QC implementing better control points along with documented training.
I directed the team to enable the plant to become sq. level 2 and organic certified. We were able to reduce labor from 18% to 13% by improving production planning and flow. Reduced waste from 15% to 4% through equipment improvements and better production controls with help of QC. I directed our team to move the facility from Oakland CA. to Fairfield CA. We accomplished this in thirty-five days.
I worked closely with R&D on formulations and commercialization of new items and procurement for supplies. I worked with procurement daily to ensure all supplies needed to meet the schedules. I worked with the warehouse daily to confirm all shipments receipts. I was able to purchase a mixer to increase capacity by 30% while reducing labor10% and a new oven that could increase capacity by 30% by baking with impingement

Responsible for 180 union employees scheduling shifts working with master scheduler to schedule weekly production. Work with maintenance department to identify issues and set line time to resolve the issues. Hold weekly meetings with the supervisors and leads to set weekly goals and to improve leadership and team building skills. Weekly meetings with the plant manager to review production efficiency and labor cost to ensure we stay on budget. In 2010 I took on a new role as R&D manager.
