RELAY HEALTH (MCKESSON) - Alpharetta, GA March 2014 – August 2015 Program Manager

• Established Program Management Office (PMO) and project management processes for developing a commercial healthcare compliant family of hybrid cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, I&AM, API Management, and others). Supervised and provided oversight of project managers and other project leads.

• Established specific reporting metrics tailored to identify progress and performance trends.

• Managed high priority projects included Identity and Access Management (I&AM) and Chef auto deployment frontend for industry leading on-premise payer enterprise software products.

• Served as Scrum Master for joint team (multiple locations) where we created both the developer workflows and CI process with integrated Jira, Jenkins and Git toolset.

• Refined Kanban workflows and executive reporting to better server business needs.

• Professionalized and normalized PMO operation by aligning processes and methods across organizations and increasing the PMP certified staff by more than 1,000% through professional development (no new staff).

• Directly supervised ten project and program managers developing full (hardware, software and infrastructure) mobile phone products. Indirectly supervised (process accountability) an addition 15 project managers.

• Managed team implementing very early CI like system for mobile phone software. This approach predated tools such as Git and Jenkins. Team managed 40+ million lines of C++ code using conventional tools (ClearCase) and developed custom scripts that enabled developers to fire off builds at will using the latest code without completely rebuilding the code base. We supported the on-demand process with a nightly rebuild of all committed code (6 hour plus process). Automated testing of each build confirmed build quality.

• Developed, as platform engineering director, R&D program plan for Panasonic’s first UMTS mobile phone platform. Solidified acceptance of the plan from the Company’s, CTO, Board of Directors and various divisional presidents.

• Created Product Engineering group that received multiple consecutive AT&T supplier awards.

• Reconstructed Product Verification Group (SQA + HW QA + Compliance) following a project meltdown and established a formal Systems Engineering function. These actions successfully returned the Product Verification Group to acceptable performance on the then current project resulting in an on time product launch.

• Led 40-person organization with 250+ extended project reports, $10 million to $80 million in effective budget. PATENTS
