AMG Deco makes custom made window and door frames and systems for high-rise buildings. When I joined the team last year the plant productivity was very low and missed several project delivery timelines. I have introduced a new manufacturing process flow – based on Lean ideology – and increased the productivity by more than 200% with a reduced workforce within 3 months. The plant hasn’t utilized its hi-tech machines - such as CNC machines - due to lack of trained and skilled workforce. I have trained and upskilled resources which further helped us to increase productivity and quality of end products.

My responsibilities included the following:

oOptimization of the production process

oProduction planning according to the various project plans

oIntroduction of additional tasks and jobs in the existing process flow

oCreated and maintained an online warehouse system – before I joined there wasn’t any tracking system hence I had to build everything from scratch

o I handled the production material order management and liaised with our 3rd party vendors (delivery schedule, logistics, BOM etc.)

oLiaised with the construction site manager on final product delivery schedule and logistics

oSupervised the production quality manager, warehouse manager, and foreman
