PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
American Axle & Manufacturing, Rochester Hills, MI 2014 - 2017 Senior Mechatronic Engineer
Driveline division Mechanical Engineer designing Power Transfer Unit (PTU) and actuator for converting between 2WD and 4WD. Responsible for concept design as well as initial and final drawing release. Resolved problems with functional, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and tolerance stack-up utilizing engineering design skills.
Designed the park lock actuator for rear wheel parking control for Jaguar Land Rover.
Responsible for key components of General Motors D2UC actuator design, tolerance stack-up, and release of final drawings.
Resolved errors where drawings did not represent design models. Corrected blueprints using GD&T control per ASME Y14.5.M specifications for Chrysler CUSW one and two speed actuator parts to control 2WD and 4WD.
Responsible for releasing all the drawings for the Ford C2 actuator project.
GENERAL DYNAMICS, Sterling Heights, MI 2005 - 2014
Engineering Specialist
Drafted Stryker Double V hull variant design as a Mechanical Design Engineer, responsible for initial and final drawing release. Designed other military vehicles and their components. Consulted as voting member for technique review meetings and resolved problem reports.
Devised commander's control panel, interior and exterior stowage with shock mounts to reduce vibration, automatic fire extinguisher systems for vehicle fire suppression, rail installations, M4 rifle mountings, first belt cycles for crankshafts, water pump, power steering pump, alternator, and cooling systems.
Corrected drawings with tolerance stack-up calculations and finalized the drawing release for the Abrams M1A2 KSA, Abrams M1A2 SEP V3, and other projects.
