Teaching philosophy
My teaching philosophy is based on providing a safe learning environment where the students are nurtured, empowered and encouraged to succeed not just in the classroom but in society. I believe in teaching each child as an individual. During the lessons, as the teacher, I will take care of their needs while considering and acknowledging their cultural diversity and helping them achieve to their highest level. The TEKS are the road map for instruction. I believe it is important to assess frequently for tailoring instruction. Through the use of collaborative and multi-dimensional teaching methods the student will be able to reach his/her full potential allowing the student to relate real-life experiences with concepts. Technology is an essential tool that needs to be integrated into the lessons along with cooperative learning to meet exploration concepts. My goal is to provide students with manipulative materials and tools to teach challenging concepts. I will keep in mind that the materials adapt to the students and not the students to the materials. Compassion and caring is essential for each student in their learning. In the classroom I plan to have an environment that encourages mutual respect. Students will just not be taught they will be educated; the goal is to help them become and grow into well-informed, productive and responsible human beings.
