DIRECTOR QUALIFICATIONS for “CLIA HIGH COMPLEXTITY LABORATORY”
I am a senior clinical researcher and a CLIA approved Laboratory Director with extensive experience in developing and directing programs in biomedical research and innovative health care technology. My professional career is a blend of clinical and academic research that allowed me to grasp emerging technologies to discern and fill the gaps between the academic advances and clinical applications.
Over the past two decades involved in clinical laboratory operations that required working on biospecimens (blood, cord blood, urine, biopsies and saliva) applying both cellular and molecular technologies. Clinical research projects ranged from developing assays to testing animal models to for diseases and transplant tolerance. Planned and developed Assays, SOPs (from sample procurement to sample retention to data management in various capacities). The career highlights present some of the projects worked on individually as a principle investigator and some in multi center collaborations. After 2011, transitioned from Immunohematology and transplant tolerance to drug urine testing pharmacogenomics and other molecular testing (HPV, Cystic fibrosis etc). The transition was made easier because of the extensive experience in experimental planning, sample processing, sample tracking, assay development and execution.
