Training started with focus on engineering design. After completion we were introduced to various CAD software where we learned sketch, part modelling, surface/sheet metal, assembly, drafting & detailing. We also covered metrology, learned & practiced basic machining processes thoroughly.

Project

Industrial chiller

Our main focus in this project was to design a small water chiller system that works effectively and from the cost point of view, cost effective.

A chiller is a machine that removes heat from a liquid via a vapor compression or absorption refrigeration cycle.

This project is completely designed by vapor compression technology based on the reverse Rankine cycle.

Concerns in design and selection of chillers including performance, efficiency, maintenance, and product life cycle were looked after.

My main role was to do experimental analysis & calculation, also monitoring the project from conception to completion.
