UPGRADE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT – MARCH 2017 – MAY 2017 (SYSTEM HIGH, BUCKLEY AFB CO)
System test working group member for the monitoring of Development Test and Evaluation (DT&E) enterprise upgrade of new software baselines. Provided daily status, issues and recommended solutions to the SBIRS Integrated Test Team (ITT) lead. Produced the bi-weekly working group meeting minutes for upload to shared drive. A short-term back fill contract that was converted to an Information Assurance position.
SATELLITE SYSTEMS OPERATOR, DECEMBER 2015 – SEPTEMBER 2016 (ITEC, BOULDER CO)
SBIRS GEO Satellite Systems Operator, error free certification and 24/7 operations. Performed satellite command and control (C2) with rigid two person and checklist protocols, performed routine and emergency satellite contacts through RGS and AFSCN resources. Respond quickly and accurately to resolve system emergencies, performed data analysis, monitored ground and satellite health and safety status. Identified and wrote system deficiency reports with recommended solutions.
Contract ended for all operators when the facility transitioned its operations to another location.
AIR FORCE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING & INTEGRATION 2010-2013 (BOECORE, AURORA CO)
Member of three person team for Air Force Space and Missile Center (SMC) that implemented a congressionally mandated deficiency reporting (DR) requirement. Extracted from 14 Lockheed Martin DR data storage sources and over 1000 DRs over to the government Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS). Enabled the stakeholders to adjudicate the impacting DRs more effectively via independent government DR Board, redirect resources and shorten testing periods resulting in more timely system upgrades and repairs.
Ground systems test monitor for key deliveries supporting Aerospace Corp. for independent assessments. Ensured requirements and performance goals were met. Worked with integrated test team for planning, scheduling, configuration and preparation to execute successful testing.
Due to Air Force budget cuts approximately 25 TASC SE&I positions lost funding including this one. Took personal time off until resuming in 2015.
SATELLITE TEST & OPERATIONS - SYSTEMS CREW CHIEF 2000-2009 (USAF, BOULDER & BUCKLEY AFB CO)
Systems Crew Chief for two satellite launches. Ran satellite payload subsystem activations, testing, fault recovery & 24/7 operations. Resolved over one hundred ground and payload anomalies using command plan scripts, fault recoveries, manual & automatic command plans. Ran 400+ steps & procedures to operate a task-able sensor. Team received the Vern Orr Award & was nominated for the Robert J. Collier Trophy.
Team recognized by Aviation Week & Space Technology for achievements and impact on national security.
Documented numerous discrepancies with recommended solutions, four years error free operations. Unit commander said "operations expert, seasoned and rock solid." Ran test objectives and activities to assess new capabilities, executed soak and stress tests. Supported large and small scale software uploads and patches.
SBIRS Mission Control Station GSO. Software and hardware development test team member. Provided operational testing, fault isolation and restoration of local and remote ground station communication networks. Assisted teams in troubleshooting/resolving software and hardware discrepancies. Transitioned legacy system to updated capabilities. Over 1800 error free operational hours.
MOBILE SYSTEMS DEPOT MANAGER & MAINTENANCE 1985-2000 (USAF, TINKER AFB OK, PATRICK AFB FL, LINDSEY AIR STATION GE, COMISO AIR STATION SICILY, VANDENBERG AFB CA, KEESLER AFB MS)
Air Force Group level point of contact for $25M multi-unit tactical communications systems. Performed analysis of major equipment problems and recommended solutions. Liaison between local squadrons and Air Combat Command (ACC). Managed depot maintenance schedules and fielding of new and upgraded equipment. Developed a new operations and training Pilot Program that was adopted by ACC worldwide. Standards & Evaluations inspector for deployed systems and on field operations.
Communications Electronic Readiness Team (CERT) member assigned to maintain six NATO communication sites. Deployed and maintained operating facilities throughout Europe. Maintained and setup HF, VHF, UHF radios, record communications and crypto systems. Liaison between host nations and deployed U.S. personnel. Maintained technical order documents and updated crypto systems with scheduled and unscheduled loads.

Maintained communications equipment for fixed air traffic control and mobile deployable communications using o-scope, volt meter, spectrum analyzer, technical orders, attenuator, bypass panels, safety procedures, component or depot module swaps, static prevention, corrosion maintenance and other procedures.
U.S. Embassy Bahamas - Provided encrypted communications for counter-drug air and ground operations within the multi-island region. Advised DEA agents on the use of equipment and recommended maintenance intervals.
Team Chief BGM-109 nuclear ground launched cruise missile (GLCM). Deployed, configured and maintained all communication equipment including SATCOM links associated with the Ground Launched Cruise Missile mobile Launch Control Central. Provided single point of failure, radio relay link communications between deployed flight and home station. Performed armed site security.
Network Control Center, Operation Southern Watch, Saudi Arabia. Monitored and reported 97 joint service communication links. Directed restoration actions. Produced daily network status reports.
Combat communications crew chief and trainer for the AN/MRC-144. Maintained, setup and deployed a range of radio and fiber optic mobile communications and tactical antennas for remote operations.
Maintained the TSC-60 10KW HF mobile communications central.
Supported Air Force pilot training mission. Performed emergency and preventative maintenance of ground communications equipment, including 165 air traffic control radios, the OJ-314 air traffic control tower, voice recording, base HF radio station and associated antennas.
