Ensure that all product being produced is high quality and maintain a safe work area at all times for all first shift employees. Provide back-up coverage for the plant manager in his absence. As CV Utilization Team Leader, responsible for scheduling and conducting monthly meetings and recording minutes. Troubleshoot and identify problems on all products run through CV lines. Order all supplies needed to perform jobs within the CV department. Scheduling foreman duties include: scheduling and setting up of all CV jobs including choosing tooling for size of strand per insulation wall; compiling all CV data into weekly synopsis report; breaking down incoming transfers for cutting lengths. Plastic Line – use extruders to jacket various types of cable such as URD and shielded cable. Monitor sizes and cut to specified lengths. Continuous Vulcanization (CV) Line - use extruders to insulate raw cable in triple tandem. Monitor sizes of compound being insulated by extruders and adjust as needed by changing RPM’s. Monitor cable after curing process and cut to specified lengths. Must ensure that cable meets customer specifications and tolerances due to the fact that this medium voltage cable is used by utility companies and must pass all quality control checks.

Install and maintain all equipment related to the copper recovery industry.
