Remained hands on and took full-circle approach of standardizing delivery of IT services, and improving both customer and inter-departmental relationships.
Managed a team of 3 engineers and 2 administrators that were both advanced engineers and helpdesk staff. Combined we serviced 400 end users plus another 75 internationally. We created and published SLA’s and processes to track performance metrics using Remedy Ticket tracking systems. Some of the metrics included, current ticket volume at a glance, month over month and year over year performance, ticket aging and reopen counts. We provided senior-most production and project support in the disciplines of systems administration, engineering, project implementation, operations and hands-on support of Audible’s infrastructure (hardware, OS and software) including Windows, Linux and Mac workstations and Windows servers, telephony, SAN storage, and telecommunications. Supported vastly different user bases: ~500 total users, ~150 international, 50 in regional facilities.
Prepared and managed departmental $550K budget for IT service management. Included variables and complexities such as operational changes, facilities changes, and proposed projects to build realistic budgets.

Designed created and installed the entire server infrastructure for new line of businesses www.tradewebretail.com and http://www.dealerweb.com. These infrastructures were made up of new, DNS zones, AD Forest, Domain
Controllers, OU structure, locking down server security, patching and installing applications. I researched and introduced new technologies to Tradeweb such as the Fault tolerant Stratus ftServers. User account server builds, rack mounting. I managed the corporate IP infrastructure DNS, DHCP, WINS, Redesigned WINS infrastructure to reduce the number of servers, eliminate replication problems & increase efficiency. Introduced and deployed Dell OpenManage monitoring application to provide hardware heath visibility in the server environment (1050+ servers internationally). Introduced and planned a consolidated backup architecture using iSCSI SANs & disk to disk to tape (D2D2T) to replace the legacy direct attached data storage plan. Maintained server fleet housed at remote colocation disaster recovery site. Support day-to-day IT related tools, PCs printers, Blackberry PDA’s. Provided support to 400 users. Senior Systems Engineer/Team Leader
Provided technical and personal leadership to 5 engineers. Managed and Purposed Projects. Planned and executed corporate headquarters relocation. This involved moving Core infrastructure Servers i.e. Active Directory, DNS DHCP File and Print, from one location to a new location without compromising daily corporate activities. Responsibilities included; vendor management, data center room design, and working with Desktop
Support teams to move client’s data to the new location. Solidified all user infrastructures to use Active Directory as central LDAP solution company wide. Provided the AP with an alternate, Internet based, news delivery system as an alternate to the current satellite delivery system. Researched, designed and built a Storage Area Network (SAN) using DELL/EMC storage. Deployed a second SAN using an HP MSA1000 with raw disks storage totaling 5 terabytes for use with SQL cluster and to provide service to an (IIS6) WEB and FTP farms. Developed a file server consolidation program with a more scalable storage architecture and remote disaster recovery (using the above HP MSA1000 SAN). Created an Internet based project to deliver the results for the US Census Bureau. Involved working with developers, engineers, Project Managers and Line of Business owners to implement a site that would be comprised of Foundry Load balanced Microsoft IIS WEB & FTP servers along with a searchable component that would run on Active/Active Microsoft SQL 7.0 with data totaling 1 Terabyte. Designed and implemented an enterprise monitoring systems using HP OpenView Operations for Windows and integrated it with an Open source solution (Big Brother). Designed and implemented an enterprise NTP/SNTP time sync solution for all networked enterprise clocks, PCs and servers. Designed and implemented the following systems: Global Active directory (migrating 10 Windows NT 4.0 Domains), Global deployment of Norton Antivirus 7.6, Designed and implemented revenue generating Web/FTP infrastructure.
