Ryder has 7 production AS400's that I had to log in to fix issues.

Worked on a Tax Rate change project. This involved updating the tax codes to the ICMS (a Telecom based Integrated Customer Management System including Billing) and modifying the Statement processing programs to display the correct tax codes on the Bill Statements to the customer. This was for Wireline Telecom Billing on IBM AS400/ISeries using RPGLE, RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, SQL400 and ILE CL.

Was also involved in fixing existing errors (Trouble Tickets) in ICMS code.

Conversion/Implementation Specialist as a consultant for IBM to implement the IBM ICMS Telecom Billing and Customer Care system at Virgin Islands Telephone Company, US. Virgin Islands using ILE RPG, SQLRPGLE, SQL400 and ILE CL on the AS 400 system. This lasted 9 months.

IBM PDC (Pacific Development Center), Vancouver, Canada 5 months

Software consultant for IBM in Vancouver, Canada. Responsible for maintenance of the ICMS telecom Billing and Customer Care system for various clients (including NTELOS, Inc.) using ILE RPG, RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, SQL400 ILE CL on the AS 400 system. This lasted for 5 months.

NTELOS Inc, Virginia 15 Years

Worked along with a team of 3 analysts, Business Analysts and a Project Manager on an EIP Billing System project using RPG Free, SQL 400, ILE CL and Rational Business Developer to create Java Web Services to interact with the Front-end system that used Microsoft .Net. The project lasted 6 months. This was to provide NTELOS, Inc. a way to provide the latest Wireless Devices to customers without a contract. The customer would pay a monthly device fee for a period of 24 months along with the regular plan charges. This was done using RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, SQL400 ILE CL and Rational Business Developer.

Worked with a team of 4 analysts to convert data from FiberNet (a West Virginia fiber services Wireline and Internet provider acquired by NTELOS) into ICMS. This involved Data Mapping, Analysis, design, Development and implementation of 2 of FiberNet’s software systems Aptis and NTelview.

Aptis was the billing system housed on the IBM AS400. It housed the Customer address, contact and Billing USOC information. Usage was fed to Aptis for long distance billing. Collections processes were also in Aptis.

NTelview was the OSS database system for FiberNet and contained Plant information for circuits such as cable and pair, OE and leased circuit information. It also housed inventory of circuits for active and available channels of a T1, etc.

This project lasted roughly 9 months On the IBM ISeries using RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, SQL400, ILE CL. And some COBOL 400.

Managed a team of 3 analysts on an Account Monitoring project using RPG Free, SQL400, ILE CL on the iSeries as a Program Manager. Project lasted 9 months and worked in Tandem with a Business Analyst and a Project Manager. This was a project where un-billed Voice, Data & Text Message usage for every Account would be monitored on a daily basis and Warning Overage Text Messages would be sent to those Accounts that went over the Allocated Thresholds. This was done so that Customers could call back and upgrade their plan to avoid paying huge Overage charges. This was done using RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, ILE CL, etc. on a Telecom Wireline/Wireless Billing and Customer Care package called ICMS.

Managed a team of 5 analysts on another conversion project using ILE RPG, RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, SQL 400 and ILE CL on the iSeries as a Program Manager. Project lasted 18 months and worked along with Business Analysts and Project Managers to migrate the wireless Customers and their services of Primco (a Virginia based Wireless service provider acquired by NTELOS). This also involved Data Mapping from Primco’s system (majority of software was in Quick Books) to NTELOS’s ICMS Telecom Billing and Customer Care system.

Managed a team of 5 analysts to convert the customers and services of R&B (a Roanoke based Wireline Telephony service provider acquired by NTELOS) into our Telephony system as a Project Leader. Helped the BU with Data Mapping. Worked with a team of 4 Business Analysts and a Project Manager using ILE RPG, RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, SQL 400 and ILE CL on the AS 400 system. Project lasted 1 year.

Managed a team of 3 on a billing system project using ILE RPG, RPG Free, SQLRPGLE, SQL400 and ILE CL on the AS 400 system as a Project Leader. Project lasted 9 months and worked in tandem with a Business Analyst and a Project Manager to migrate the various services provided (like Wireline, Wireless, Voicemail, Pager etc.) into its own category. This was done in preparation of migration of R&B Communications (a Roanoke based Telephony company acquired by NTELOS, Inc.). ICMS is a Telecom Billing and Customer Care package by IBM, New Zealand.
