DEPARTMENT OF STATE, Washington, DC March 2017 to Present Special Skills Tactics Instructor - Work within the Counter Threat Unit and Branch providing specialized instruction for the DoS Foreign Affairs Counter Threat (FACT) Course. This course provides training for US government personnel with knowledge and skills to better prepare them for living and working in critical and high threat environments overseas. Aspects of the course include Situational Awareness, Attack and Surveillance Recognition and Response, Direct and Indirect Fire Response, Emergency Medical Care, Improvised Explosive Device Knowledge, Defensive Counterterrorist Driving Maneuvers and Physical Defensive Tactics. All students participate in an Instructor controlled Final Day Scenario Exercise that will test their skill retention and execution techniques.

Physical Security Specialist, Technical Security Division (TSD): Identified, evaluated and nullified security and environmental threats to the President of the United States. Performed commercial real estate site assessments for presidential security, requiring a full understanding of building operating systems. Collaborated with local law enforcement, fire departments and hospitals, assessing vulnerabilities on routes and venues used by the president, installing alarm systems, conducting Hazmat sweeps. Provided testing and evaluation for mission-critical equipment, interfacing with private contractors and government agencies. Roles included:
ALARM / INTRUSION DETECTION TEAM: Installed and repaired security systems at the White House and the residences of the current and former presidents. Managed relationships with product manufacturers and device operators, oversaw systems operations and developed site specific implementations and modifications. Attended meetings with Secret Service management and product development staff, identifying necessary requirements and managing costs.
PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST RECRUITER: Developed and implemented new training programs, including curriculums and lesson plans for new TSD employees, collaborating with senior division and HQ management, along with civilian and Department of Defense personnel.
