Project Summary
“Regulatory reporting” is the submission of raw or summary data needed by regulators to evaluate PayPal's Financial operations and its overall health, thereby determining the status of compliance with applicable regulatory provisions. PayPal is required to develop Dynamic systems to keep themselves regulated according to the reforms across all the locations of PayPal in the World.
The main aim of the project is to transform, analyze, store Petabyte's of Transactional data and generate reports on Customers liabilities, Total Payment Volumes, Audits, Calculations using Teradata. This project also involves in migration of existing RDMS Teradata systems to Hadoop Ecosystems.
Responsibilities
Analyze and Develop Regulatory reports to schedule in a dynamic environment on large data sets with a minimum of ~50 Million transactions per day
Develop and enhance the Daily, Monthly and Quarterly regulatory reports using Teradata and Hadoop
To work on Migration of reports from Teradata to Hadoop systems and on reconciliation of the numbers
To import data using Sqoop to load data from Teradata to HDFS on regular basis
