EXPERIENCE
Final Inspector/Designated Quality Representative for Sikorsky – October 4, 2016-
July 11, 2017
United Tool and Die Company, West Hartford, CT
Serve as dimensional inspector for aerospace manufacturer; Became primary Designated Quality
Representative for Sikorsky in April 2017; Using solid blueprint reading skills to identify and
verify required dimensions for accepting product; Use a vast variety of equipment including, but
not limited to: verniers, micrometer, shadowgraph and pin gages. Currently striving in a team
oriented environment.
DQR responsibilities include: Over inspection of Sikosky product, dimensionally and visually,
prior to shipment on the Sikorsky portal; confirm all certifications meet customer requirements.
Final Inspector – July 5, 2015 – October 3, 2016
Connecticut Tool and Manufacturing, Plainville, CT
Worked in the final inspection department of a fast paced aerospace manufacturer . Primary
customers were Pratt & Whitney and Sikorsky.
Respsonsiblities consisted of: Inspecting product using a variety of equipment (dial bore gages,
air gage, swing gage, digital micrometer, electronic height gage, etc) to ensure product met drawing
and operation book reqirements; Majority of parts contained extremely tight tolerances in the
.xxxx range. Worked closely with machinists to assist in producing acceptable first pieces;
Completed First article paperwork and recorded dimensions.
Designated Quality Representative May 14, 2001 – February 20, 2015
United Tool and Die Company, West Hartford, CT
Served as primary Designated Quality Representative (DQR) for United Technologies
Aerospace Systems (UTAS) at aerospace manufacturing company. Held this position
since July 2012.
Responsiblities included: Shipping product via (ESILK) accessed on the UTAS portal; verifying
purchase order requirements are satisfied; matching drawing revisions to customer callouts;
providing non destructive testing data (i.e. pressure test) with each shipment; confirming all
special processes (anodize, primer, etc) are performed by UTAS approved suppliers; Inspect
specific dimensions to ensure the product going out the door met drawing requirements;
shipped to all UTAS based companies: UTAS Nauka (Russia), EDAC Composites, Derco,
and Hi-Tech Mold.
Other daily duties: Released raw material to the floor by verifying traveler callouts to
material certifications; reviewed all UTAS first article inspection reports per AS9102.
Prior to 2012 worked as secondary UTAS DQR, dimensional inspector and UTAS Account
Manager’s Assistant. As inspector, developed strong blueprint reading skills, gained working
Experience with tight tolerances as well as becoming creative setting up parts for inspection.
Thrived in working with others; enjoyed the team oriented atmosphere; became familiar with a
variety of inspection tools: verniers, micrometers, height gages, shadowgraph, and indicators,
among others.
Account Manager’s Assistant gave me an opportunity to view the production side of
manufacturing. Followed the flow of manufacturing to determine the amount of time
needed to complete particular jobs. Became familiar with scheduling and planning,
enabling me to provide UTAS with appropriate dates for shipments.
