University of Toronto – Toronto, ON 2016- Now

Casual Worker

- Work in the Murray Grabinsky‘s lab. Working on the cemented soil sample preparation and testing. Samples were constructed with different cement ratios and water contents. These samples should be tested under different static and dynamic tests (i.e. Hopkinson Pressure Bar).

- Comprehensive study of the recorded well logs and fracture mappings in a gold mine. The obtained data from the boreholes were used for the generation of a mine scale fracture network in FracMan. This model will be used for the slope stability and water flow analysis. Study consists of the following parts:

Study of the fracture intensities and orientations along the geotechnical boreholes (over 30 boreholes) of a Gold mine

Study fracture intensities and orientations for different rock lithologies in different depth of the rock

Simulate fracture discrete network (DFN) by the aim of FracMan

- As a part of a research, study the rock mass degradation under the repetitive blasting by the aim of numerical simulations. For this purpose, the recorded vibrations from a multi deck blasting was used as an input in the numerical model. The results show that a huge reduction in the joint shear strength was occurred by repetitive blasts. A sensitivity analysis revealed the effects of wave amplitude, frequency and rock type on the joint degradation.

Intelligent Mine Monitoring – Iran 2014- 2016

Sales

IMiMo is concerned with providing mine monitoring and efficiency improvement solutions for the mining industry in Iran. Its clients are the largest mines in Iran. IMiMo is the official distributor and representative of 3D Laser Mapping (UK), Logimine (France), Mintek (South Africa), O-PitBlast (Portugal). In addition, IMiMo is working on the design and development of a driver fatigue management (drowsiness detection) and ore tracking sensor.

Iranian Mining Organization– Iran 2012- 2015

Engineer of a Barite/Zinc Mine

As the Iranian Mining Engineering Organization agent, my responsibilities was reporting mining operation activities to the organization by the monthly visit. My main activities were as the following:

Reporting mine production for different commodities

Mining methods, drilling and blasting supervisory

Monitoring mining performance and efficiency

Kashan University– Iran 2011- 2012

Research Assistant

Project title: “Evaluation and Study of Blast-Induced Vibration Codes and Standards”. The project was a comprehensive study on the blast induced vibration mechanism and vibration standards in mining and construction projects.

Project Title: “Design and construction of an Automated Roughness Meter”. An automated device was invented and developed for measuring joint roughness with the aim of optical sensor. The rock sample is moved under the laser sensor with a very low rate (1 cm/s) and surface roughness is measured and analyzed in real-time.
