Image based Airborne Target Tracking Algorithms for Moving Ground Target

Algorithm for airborne tracking of a moving target (Ex: Tank) based on centroid, contour and optical-flow are formulated in MATLAB, where the input in the form of sequence of images is extracted from a video, recorded by an aircraft during flight. The results are obtained find application in Navigational corrections of systems onboard.

Computational Analysis of Front Fuselage of Subsonic Transport Aircraft-A Case Study.

Project Details

Using Engineering skills Aerodynamic Analysis on complete fuselage and Structural Analysis on front fuselage of an existing airplane model was carried out.

Modeling in CATIA V5, Aerodynamic analysis in ICEM CFD & CFX and Structural analysis in Ansys mechanical were done to determine the total deformation, stress and strain for the model considered.

Trim position (position of controls in equilibrium position) of helicopter is calculated in forward flight speed deriving trim equations required which are programmed in MATLAB and position of controls in different flight speeds are obtained in the form of plots.
