Educational & Special Projects

Designed a Train Locomotive with Solid works, the simulation done with ANSYS, final got results that helped to find a better wheel that can resist to the friction created when brake applied by the driver.

Designed with Solid works a Hydrogen Pressure vessel with the purpose of minimizing cost and mass. The condition was that this pressure vessel might not fail by yield or Fracture toughness and not corrode during low temperature.

Designed with Pro Engineer an Endoscopic surgical instrument, the main purpose was to prevent the entering of two clips in the jaw during surgical operations.

Designed with ProEngineer a high speed mechanism ink filling machine this can put ink into the cartridge pen (marker) without damaging the nozzle.

Designed a towing Truck using Solid works and analyzed FEA with ANSYS,the main objective was to lift more than 10,000 N without cracking and Bending of towbar.

Researched on Helical and Spurs gears with the purpose of finding the better one to use and came up concluding that helical gear can last long. Both gears designed and simulated with solid work.

Demonstrated how to extract Methane Gas in Kivu Lake, from 2.5 Mw up to 5.5Mw.

Graduate Research Assistant University of Bridgeport (Bridgeport, CT) Aug-Dec 2016

Used Solid works, ProEngineer and ANSYS to Design and Simulate Parts for assigned projects.

Contributed in Built of the payload for NASA Total Solar Eclipse ballooning (CT Space Grant) launched on Aug 21st, 2017.

Scheduled with Gantt chart (Project Management) the timeline of NASA project named Mission 11 to the International Space Station (ISS), the launch will be on August 10, 2017.

Assisted in evaluation of 250 students for the NASA Patch Art and Design Competition.

Tool, Sheet Metal and spare parts Development: Reduced design failure by modifying, formulating manufacturing specification, upgrading existing designs, developed new Models of assigned work and generating associated drawings using Solid Works.

Creating BOM: Developed a detail EBOM and MBOM of assembly and manufacturing parts.

Product Analysis Testing: Reduced the Product failure through Simulation of 3D Model with ANSYS, this increased the number of customers.

Manufacturing Engineer at Mironko Plastic Industries Ltd (Kigali-Rwanda) Jan 2013-Jan 2014

Repaired Injection Molding and Blow Machines, water pumps, Compressors, break down reduced by 20%.

Designed screw Nozzle for an Injection Molding Machine (FS 700) which can inject hot materials into the mold without deviation outside and stuck in the nozzle.

Scheduled the timeline for maintenance and reparation of Lathe, Milling, Grinding and injection molding machines, water and hydraulic pumps and help the technicians when needed.

Interfaced with sales department, operators, technician and other Engineers to fulfill the customers’ needs.

Changed molds: The performance was excellent, at rest 10 molds used to be fixed on Machines every day.
