UCI 2016 HyperXite Team February 2016 - June 2016

Co-lead engineer of fuselage manufacturing team for the Hyperloop challenge put forth by Elon Musk CEO of SpaceX. Challenged with designing and manufacturing an aerodynamic and structurally sound yet lightweight fuselage shell out of carbon fiber to house internal components of the low pressure operated high speed levitating pod. Worked as lead CAD engineer for fuselage subsystem, creating all of the molds and fuselage shells in Solidworks

UCI 2016 Autonomous Boat Project July 2016 – March 2017 Propulsion system’s engineer, serving in a hands on as well as advisory role for the onboard diesel internal combustion engine and electric motors. The autonomous boat project was founded with the intention of competing in the micro trans-Atlantic open challenge, the purpose of which is to create a boat that is fully autonomous that is capable of crossing the Atlantic Ocean. OTHER EXPERIENCE

Information Technology Assistant at Northcreek Church and Academy September 2013 – August 2015 Responsible for inventory and configuration of new computer and operating systems, as well as upkeep of current systems and their inventory, and retiring old systems and their inventory. Installation of infrastructure for servers and data lines. Also responsible for computer hardware repairs, and customer producer relations for warranty claims. Worked alongside systems administrator in similar capacities. Mechanic at Laguna Cyclery June 2017 – September 2017 Served as a mechanic specializing in high end full suspension carbon fiber mountain bikes. Responsible for repairing and providing maintenance in hydraulic brakes, air and coil suspension, drive train, pivot linkages, and general diagnostics.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Drawing: Basic drafting and engineering drawing skills

Design: Solidworks design and engineering experience, as well as finite element analysis. MechGen2 four bar linkage creating software, in conjunction with Solidworks.

Manufacturing: Competent with a great majority of hand and power tools. Ability to manufacture by hand Category 5 and Category 6 data cables

Reporting: Microsoft Office

Coding: Limited C++ and MatLab experience, and experience with Arduino microcontrollers ACHIEVEMENTS

2016 - 5th place Pod Technical Excellence Award with the University of California, Irvine, HyperXite, out of over 100 worldwide teams for the Hyperloop overall design contest, placing alongside teams such as MIT, Delft university, and Virginia Tech
