● As the in charge of documentation, maintained the records and kept the files organized to make sure other team mates can access the records without any difficulties.

Projects:

Sizing of the Distributed Energy Resources (DER):

● Using IEEE 13-bus distribution feeder system performed the modelling in Power World Simulator software, analysed impacts of the DERs on various system parameters such as line loading, bus voltages, load MVA, load MW and short circuit currents.

● Identified the ideal sizing of DERs for any bus under the most severe contingencies.

● Fine-tuned the locations and sizing of DERs by performing distribution system fault analysis. This analysis was replicated for IEEE- 37 bus system and presented to the class.

Enhancement of power quality in distribution system using D-Statcom:

● Carried out study in the field of improvement of power quality by concentrating on FACTS devices with studies including all types of FACTS devices.

● Highlighted the power quality problem due to the renewable energy’s increasing contribution in the grid and went deeper in th e study to mitigate the problems.

● Compared the FACTS devices used for the improvement of the power quality in the distribution system and came up with the conclusion that using D-STATCOM devices will help improving the power quality in distribution network with increased efficiency.

● Concluded the project with results showing that UPFC devices might be able to improve the power quality compared to STATCOM devices but STATCOM devices being affordable compared to UPFC devices, it is ideal to use STATCOM devices. Implementation of MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) Control Using Fuzzy Logic in Solar-Wind-Hydro Power System:

● A detailed case study of implementing fuzzy logic in combination with power systems based on IEEE paper.

● Implemented the MPPT controller to increase the efficiency of SWHP (Solar-Wind-Hydro Power Systems) using fuzzy logic control.
