Responsible for opening up the plant/warehouse
Turn on all machines in both Press Lines and Secondary Operations before every shift
Conduct daily forklift inspection before and after the end of every shift
Check production schedule to adjust to any rescheduling before the start of the morning shift
Stage jobs/dies according to the production schedule and staying in constant communication with Production Scheduler for any changes
Working closely with the Production Supervisor to meet the needs of the production floor and schedule as well as completing any task assigned
Responsible for all work flow on the production floor and keeping the schedule on track and adjusting to any changes
Responsible for all Material Handlers/Crane operators. This includes training of new employees of their job responsibilities and day to day operations.
Train new employees to operate Overhead Crane safely and effectively
Certified as the companies forklift trainer/instructor and obtained proper certification through Cintas
Attend daily staff meeting with the heads of every department to discuss production, QA issues, and any Preventive Maintenance
Assist operators in troubleshooting of press lines and report any issues to maintenance or die shop
Involved in supervision of every die setup and assuring setup is complete and preformed correctly
Assist and or supervise Crane Operators to assure all production material is located and accounted for before loading for production. Any material shortages would be reported through the proper channels.
Position all dies in proper location on die racks. This includes out coming dies from the die shop
Keep inventory of all chemicals used on production floor. Place orders in the case of when chemicals are running low
In constant communication with QA making sure production meets the needs of the customer. This includes any deburring or secondary operations are completed before parts are transported to shipping.

Assist press operators with die setup and breakdowns
Obtained forklift certification through the company. Transportation of production to and from shipping, die set ups and breakdowns, and any other task involving a forklift
Sorting through pallets for bad/suspect parts before transporting to shipping
Replenish containers for production
Transport bad pallets outside for removal
Taking out the trash
Complete any task assigned by the Production Supervisor
Transport finished pallets to shipping
Crane Operator/Material Handler
Also obtained overhead crane certification allowing me to handle various metals to assist with production
Locating material by heat/job number
Load material using over head crane onto the mandrel/ reel to feed into the press for production
Operate reel controls (Minster) to properly feed material through the straighter for the operator to run
Organize in-stock job material for future jobs
Update coil inventory as new material comes in
Re-band coils if damaged or no longer needed for the job
Daily revision of Re-banded material inventory
