Neighborhood Development Project Assistant
Paterson Habitat for Humanity, Paterson, NJ
●Administered 4th Ward Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED); facilitated and prepared for meetings, organized monthly community events, worked with community members, and used ArcGIS to map focus areas and projects.
●Administered a community Small Grant Program for adult and youth development. Grants assisted in further education of adults in the area as well as assisting in literacy rates and reading acceptance for local youths.
●Community outreach through organizing and attending community meetings, fostering communication with residents and other nonprofits in the area, and maintaining and updating an outdoor bulletin board and Facebook page.
●Created and updated Paterson Habitat for Humanity’s GIS maps.
●Collected, analyzed, and graphed data for a Community Resident Survey.
●Assist in NRTC projects: gathered community feedback, and facilitated survey events.

●Research included comparing the spatial relationship of vacant and abandoned properties to the Social Vulnerability Index in the City of Paterson.
●To complete this project the following GIS techniques where used: ArcGIS online geocoding, select by location tool, feature to point tool, and cluster analysis.
