Provide research, analytical and organization assistance in support of International/Domestic Law Enforcement and Humanitarian efforts; conduct liaison activities with all levels of law enforcement or judicial agencies to explain the need for and to access information.

Analyze incoming requests from International/Domestic Law Enforcement and take appropriate action; to include: opening new cases, conducting queries derived from various sources such as unclassified and classified database systems, intelligence reports, miscellaneous communications, case files, internal and external systems and other sources.

Oversee, analyze and prioritize difficult or complex investigative cases from foreign police and Federal, State, and local law enforcement authorities such as INTERPOL notices, addendum, cancellations, and diffusions resulting in world-wide alert for fugitives, identification of dead persons, location of missing and abducted children, and other similar international investigative matters such as fraud investigations, and conducting valid and reliable research to analyze internal and external information to assess risk factors and identify high-risk areas.

Applying investigative procedures and techniques in order to analyze research and/or evaluate information; and assisting others with investigations including special agents, background investigators, local police and collect and analyze information and evidence; conduct interviews and prepare reports, and present findings and recommendations for regulatory, civil, and/or criminal actions.

Research and prepare a variety of written materials and reports which support possible administrative, civil, or criminal proceedings; answer both routine and technical correspondence and telephone inquiries; provide expertise and consultation to divisional personnel and provide guidance to other State, Local, and Federal Investigators, as well as foreign law enforcement agencies.

Develop and maintain working relationships with Federal, State and Local agencies in order to promote information and intelligence collection exchanges.

Gathers, interprets, and analyzes criminal investigative information to develop leads and/or provide a response to the requesting agency; and apply basic investigative principles, concepts, and methods of fact-finding and investigative procedures to ensure compliance with requirements.

Developing intelligence collection plans which support specific programs and activities, including the most complex and most difficult assignment; Reviewing, processing, and evaluating intelligence information from a variety of sources, using creative methodology for unusual problems which do not appear to be susceptible to treatment by accepted methods

Conducting criminal and intelligence research from a variety of sources to develop trends, patterns profiles, estimates and studies; Preparing preliminary and finished intelligence products and disseminating the products to the appropriate officials; Participating in liaison activities and short term/long term or broad-scope projects as required

Writing reports to document incidents or investigations for potential use in criminal, civil, or administrative proceedings; providing guidance on the application of rules, regulations, or laws to government officials or the general public; analyzing data from various sources to identify trends and verify the accuracy of information; organizing and evaluating information to identify potential violations of rules, regulations, or laws and determine appropriate action(s); and participating in meetings, briefings, or hearings to provide information about investigative activities.

Conducting tactical and strategic analysis by identifying trends, patterns, profiles, estimates, and studies; engaging in the review of data, research, and analysis to develop and produce intelligence products; assisting in the implementation of intelligence collection plans by carrying out specified portions or segments of specific projects; processing and evaluating volumes of intelligence information from a variety of sources; and identifying and recommending solutions to analytical problems and disseminating intelligence products using prescribed methods.
