Imperial College London Pilot Plant Challenge: Directed operation of carbon dioxide capture plant, using group- prepared SOP and P&ID. Presented results of operation and recommendations in formal report to Imperial College. Pepsi-Co Oil Recycle Design: Worked with a group in ChBE Senior Design Capstone to alter the manufacturing process for kettle-cooked potato chips, made by Pepsi-Co. Focuses included environmental considerations, minimization of cost and equipment footprint, and use of accurate MATLAB and ASPEN process modeling. Drug Crystallization Modelling: Utilized knowledge of process control and coding with Simulink to predict changes in crystallization based on alteration in feed concentration, crystal size, and time allowed for process. Alternatives to Opioids + Regulation: Researched and presented a critique of regulatory process for recently- introduced alternatives for pain treatment, focusing on FDA and DEA standards and current legislative process. Breakdown of Aromatics for Reuse: Designed and optimized a chemical plant expansion focused in the reactions of creating eco-friendly fuel from wood designed in ASPEN. Focuses included economic forecasting and analysis, safety, and unit operation review.
