Company name project in Master of Power System(phase-1) Title Dynamic Load Management Using HEM Algorithm
Description The electricity demand is increasing day by day and leads to increase in generation & transmission. This is complex and it is reduced by incorporating renewable energy & prioritizing the load as per the wish. This methodology is implemented by considering the two cases such as half peak hour and peak hour. Assuming that the power from renewable energy source is utilized during half peak hour and the power from Electricity Board can be utilized at peak hour. During Peak hours when power from renewable energy is not able to supply, the Automatic power supply selector switches the next source of power (EB). The main objective of this paper is to reduce the energy demand and electricity cost.
Company name project in Master of Power System(phase-2) Title Analysis of Multilevel Inverter for Active harmonic filter in Distribution Network.
Description The inverter topologies are three, five, seven, nine and fifteen level. The system configuration involves cascaded MLI structure of APF, generation of compensation filter currents depends on instantaneous active and reactive current component (id–iq) method and dc-link voltage regulation using a PI controller. The bacterial foraging optimization (BFO) is used to extract the gains of PI controller. Now-a- days the increasing usage of power electronic devices by commercial, domestic and industrial consumers gets low power quality. The proposed work of this paper a cascaded fifteen-level inverter based shunt active power filter (APF) has been modeled in order to handle large compensation currents and reduce the power loss due to switching of semiconductor devices using selective Harmonics Elimination method. Current harmonics produced due to a non-linear diode rectifier load is compensated using the fifteen-level inverter based APF. An assessment is carried out with MATLAB/Simulink based simulations to explore its current harmonic compensation considering three different conditions of supply under ideal, non ideal and unbalanced supply conditions.
