Responsibilities:-
I am currently part of the A- Team that provides bespoke workflow solutions to the bank where we use agile approach to solving the needs of our clients thru Java as technology of choice, we use EJBs extensively in our daily developments, JPA, active MQ, Rabbit MQ, Jobs, SQL Server, JSF using prime faces, Mockito in conjunction with JUnit, SOAP as well as Restful web services to mention but a few, Sonatube for code coverage, usage of Team City for our releases, Linux etc. This involves going thru different SDLC stages using agile approaches,where we do daily stand-ups, sprint plannings, stories, peer review, scripting and have planned releases every now and then depending on the project at hand. The team is responsible for providing workflow solutions to the entire bank, my role amongst other things, entails development of IT solutions for our clients from functional specification all the way to implementations and support of the final product and the end product is usually a web application that runs over a workflow engine that allows our clients to service their needs, e.g. some of our solutions are used in call centres and are used to allocate and track work and provide mechanisms to report on the productivity and servicing of clients at these call centres, they also provide means of communications to clients thru SMSes, emails where necessary.
