Heat 1 00.0 m L o f w ater i n a b eaker u ntil i t i s a t l east 3 0 d egrees C elcius m ore t han t he initial t emperature f or t he c old w ater.

6. Pour o ut 5 0 m L f rom t his b eaker i nto t he r emaining f oam c up. M easure t he t emperature of t his w ater a s t he i nitial t emperature o f t he w arm w ater. 7. Mix t he w arm w ater i nto t he c old w ater i n t he c alorimeter. C lose t he l id a nd u se t he thermometer t o r ecord t he t emperature o f t he m ixture e very 1 0 s econds f or a m inute a nd a h alf.
