Duties: I worked on fossil preparation of various types of vertebrates and invertebrates from the Nsungwe Formation in Tanzania, Africa. I am in the process of an independent research project, “First Account of Ostracoda (Arthropoda, Crustacea) from the late Oligocene of the Rukwa Rift Basin, Tanzania”. I have two years of experience using advanced image software such as Nikon NIS Elements and Avizo. I have experience identifying and extracting microfossils from matrix of various rock types. This position taught me how to conduct research in a laboratory setting and allowed me to work directly with experts in the field of osteopathic medicine. 05/08/2017 – Present

Field Technician – Solar Testing Labs

Duties: As a field technician, I am responsible for testing concrete for proper air pressure, slump, and temperature. I also am trained to inspect rebar, calibrate and use a Humboldt soil gauge, and follow any necessary safety precautions on the jobsite.

I have experience living abroad in Amman, Jordan, and attending the University of Jordan for a month (07/12/2016 – 08/16/2016).

I have experience public speaking, which includes coordinating and leading a TEDx discussion in front of over 200 people (05/30/2016) and presenting my undergraduate research at the Ohio University Student Expo (04/14/2016), and the Cincinnati Fossil Conference (06/05/2016).
