Undergraduate Researcher (Data analyst) January 2017 – July 2017 Portland Criminal reports assist by Police department website Tableau

● Predicted each type of future criminal amounts by time with existing data to get criminal information about how often each criminal were reported in the specific area

● Used Tableau map tool to report Portland Criminal Map, and focused spots. Find the reason why they have focused spots

● Proved Spearman rank correlation with number of record and each day, so found their relationship. I could find relationship between date and criminals, which weekends’ criminal reports were higher than weekdays’ criminal reports

● Extracted Tableau report data to excel with more than 50,000 data Python

● Used T-SNE function to get the visualized chart for each category

● T-SNE function made one middle point for each category’s data

● Used Hbeta function which can bring each categories number, and the numbers send to T-SNE

● Analyzed categories’ relationship and how they arranged points on the map with labels, could see which categories have same relationship. If they have same relationships then find why they have same and how to decrease or increase in the future Outcome: with my research relationships and run the programs, could know the coding is stable and reasons why they have similar relationship.
