Ritter Communications July 2015 – Sep 2015 Network Engineer I I worked with access technologies such as GPON, xDSL, FTTH, FTTP & Ethernet. I gained working experience in designing & supporting networks for voice, data & video in an ISP environment using SIP, MGCP, RTP, Unicasting & Multicasting protocols. I Gained hands on experience in designing, implementing & troubleshooting networks with Calix, Zhone, Cisco, Ciena Ethernet & Optical using Layers 1-3 of the OSI model. I worked with QOS technology. I worked closely with the NOC department, Field Technicians to ensure that network services were up & running.

I Worked with Team members to replace existing Cat5 with Cat6 cabling. Worked with Network Engineers to install new patch panels & aided in the installation of fiber in the core.
VIRE Technologies LLC Dates Employed Apr 2015 – Apr 2015 Network Administrator I During this one month project for the Cicero School District I was responsible for configuring Brocade ICX6610 and ICX6450 switches. The configurations consisted of the Stackwise stack unit setup, VLAN’s, Trunks, Ether-channels, AAA authentication, Port Security, Logging, SNMP Management, Loop-detection, Storm-control, Load Balancing, and IP routing. I was also responsible for deploying the new switches, which replaced the existing Cisco switch infrastructure. The deployment of the new switches consisted of un-racking the existing Cisco 3750 switches, racking in the new Brocade switches, replacing all Cat6E cabling, installing the 10Gb Single-mode fiber, installing the 1Gb Multi-mode fiber and then testing that all network devices were functioning correctly after the upgrades. During the 1-month project we successfully deployed a total of 149 new switches across 19 schools in the district. The project was completed successfully, on time, in a very aggressive deployment schedule to minimize impact on the school staff.
