“BCFW” application is built to automate “CCR - Commercial Credit Request” fulfillment processes within the Business Service Centre through automated task creation and tracking of CCR applicable tasks. The BCFW application improves both turnaround times as well as minimizes the number of errors that occur with manual processing and tracking. As a result of this initiative, RBC will have an enhanced and simplified CCR fulfillment process which will benefit the clients and CAM’s (Commercial Account Managers).

Project: Critical Illness - Creditor Workflow

Create and add creditor Critical Illness (CI) insurance to the current offerings of life and disability, to each of the existing products of HomeProtector (HP), LoanProtector (LP) and Business Loan Insurance Plan (BLIP), for RBC Royal Bank (RBC) mortgages, loans and lines of credit – both personal and business. HP and LP are underwritten by the Canada Life Assurance Company of Canada (Canada Life) and BLIP is underwritten by The Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (Sun Life). The new CI product will protect the RBC mortgages, loans, lines of credit and business loan or mortgage if the client has a critical illness, by applying a lump sum payment directly to the debt. Common Code: This project holds the scope of processing the requests on the exhibited services through Enterprise Java Beans (EJB). It has Service, Business and Persistence layers. All the other Common Systems implementation of TNT utilizes the services offered by Common Codes by invoking corresponding service. It also has presentation layer for administrator to maintain the codes for all types of operations.

Customer Database Phase - I : This project consists of reading the flat file data which is in a predefined format and loading the customer data into the database. Before inserting the data in the database, certain fields need to be translated according to the required format. This comes under data migration. The another part which is known as Standard Interface, consists of updates from EBO(Enterprise Back Office) which need to translated again before loading in CDB. The updates that are loaded need to be sent to corresponding Legacy Systems through Message Queue

Customer Database Phase - II : This project is built on five different layers i.e. Presentation Layer using JSR 168 Portlets with Struts 2.1 support, Process Layer, Service Layer, Business Layer and Persistence Layer. Basically it holds following operations displayed as through the screen: Add Customer, Edit Customer, Find Customer, Copy Customer and Manage Customer. “Comnex” is a distributed client server application build on COM/DCOM technologies using Delphi 6 for Logistics domain. Comnex handles the processing of consignment data download from a centralized mainframe based subsystem and upload the same after updating. To provide TNT depot operations for remote off-line sites. These sites need to be able to provide the same level of service as those connected to the TNT Wide Area Network. In order to offer a high level of customer service these sites require access to receive incoming sector information in order to enable them to plan delivery activities. They also require the ability to inform the rest of the TNT network about deliveries made on their behalf by other stations throughout the world. Where the information held within other master files to allow these stations to offer the same quality of service as on-line stations. This client server solution was developed as DCOM components using Delphi6, MS- SQL Server 2000 and XML.

This system was developed for financial accounting & inventory maintenance from a small scale to corporate sectors. The interface was provided in such a way that it could be changed from one user to another. The user can customize according to his requirements. Goodwill has been developed with DTR Technology (Design then Run) with an integrated development tool. That means programming user requirements without programming. Flexibility is the key strength of the system. The prototype for this package was initially developed using Power Builder 4.0 and presently the system was developed using Delphi 6.0/4.0 as the front end and Paradox as the back end. Enhanced the same as a three-tier application with the help of Midas components and SQL server 6.5/2000 as the back end. Education
