EDI Gate way is the integrating the oncor internal systems and external systems. It is completely developed in Tibco plat-form. It will be the replacement for the existing e-Gate application. EDI stands for Electronic Data Interchange which is used across the oncor systems while interacting to market.
LCIS is the Mainframe CICS application based on daily running batch jobs and online CICS programs.
LCIS (Legacy Customer Information System) receives the customer information from EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions. These transactions have work request called service orders in them, the service orders could for Registration, revenue management, archiving, purging types etc. These service orders are processed in LCIS, EDI gateway and related applications and stored in LCIS DB2 tables fetched whenever requested by online programmes and reporting applications.

Based on the credit rating received for a particular customer from Experian (Third party credit rating system in UK) the product and its facilities are offered. Testing included both validation in UI screens and the DB2 database while doing the end to end testing and the waterfall model of SDLC was used.
