Senior RF Engineer

Contracted to AT&T to improve performance of 3G and LTE/VOLTE networks in Central Florida.

Performed troubleshooting of UMTS\LTE/VOLTE Multicarrier Network performance issues giving recommendations and/or implementing optimization changes to improve network’s performance. Responsible to accept\reject LTE carrier add projects, supporting NSB’s to audit using baseline params/features as well as troubleshooting the daily performance issues in order to give accurate recommendations to get the best network KPI s and enhance the user perception helping to improve %TNOL, %IRAT, Accessibility, Retainability & Thpt.

Audited Ericsson team proposals and approved or rejected based on AT&T criteria. Implemented approved proposals according to parameters and electrical down-tilt changes from the GNG FULL LTE project in order to deploy the best performance behavior for this technology on the Central Florida region (Orlando-Daytona-Melbourne area).

Reviewed/audited to implement changes on the Orlando Walt Disney World DAS Project in order to improve performance; to give support to the vendor walk test teams and RF local team while implementing site HO trigger/parameters changes to improve mobility from iDAS, oDAS, metroCell, FEMTO and to/from macro sites.

Supported special events like Daytona 500 Race and UCF football games in order to implement high cap parameters changes to diminish the network performance impact giving the best end-user experience.

Worked with contractor crews in troubleshooting issues related to LTE carriers and BWE including low power, PIM & PIM testing, and site configuration, RFDS reviews, swapped sectors and alarm verifications.

Post-Launch Optimization Project – AT&T 3G multilayer network, South Texas Market (July 2012 to Feb 2013), Responsible for recent SSV launches (assigned by Market Lead) and several sites and cluster defined by customer to conduct RF parameters & features audit, neighbor lists optimization for Inter-Intra-Irat HO; analyzed & troubleshooted CS Retainability & CS and PS Accessibility according to KPI targets in order to identify action points and to prepare recommendations for power adjustments (using PRACH analysis), RF parameters changes, LM optimization, cell classification according to Gold standard defined by Ericsson-AT&T.

BARN Reports Project – Caribbean & Central America (12+ countries) (May 2012 to June 2012)

Coordinated, supported and managed the Ericsson Mexico GSC team (up to 8 people) in conducting the corresponding tasks such as data downloading from OSS, BSC, RNC and MSC in order to post-process and obtain KPI report, worst cell tables, features and RF parameters audit with the goal to hand over a “Brief Audit for Radio Network” Report with an overall analysis from specific markets. Included how the costumer can improve the network’s performance with some recommendations, parameters changing proposals and new features to activate, interacting with Project Team Leader from Caribbean Region and also Brazilian Team.
