Project Design Engineer

April 2008 – March 2017

I worked on the Order Related Engineering team to design all kinds of the vertical turbine pumps for water treatment, power generation plants, oil and gas and hydrocarbon processing industries. Prepared basic design studies, calculations, drawings, Bills of Materials, and other engineering documents in accordance with customer requirements and department policies and procedures. After five years working with the ORE team I transitioned to leading high profile jobs as well as gaining the responsibility to check and review all jobs before their release to production. Essential Functions:

Read and interpreted drawings, specifications, procedures and related materials.

Assisted Product Management team, production coworkers and sales personnel with technical issues associated with all technical requirements for manufactured pump products.

Provided technical justification for acceptance or rejection of quality notifications.

Prepared engineering details and drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor. Included Bills of Materials and engineering specifications to enable the complete manufacturing of pump products.

Performed designs and layouts of standardized pump components, assemblies and equipment.

Produce design calculations to validate design layouts.

Acted as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing and other support groups as required.

Participated in administrative functions of the department, including order and design review meetings, material review board meetings and processing of assigned Field Engineering Assistance Request.

Created SAP BOMs and part numbers for processing of parts as needed.

June 2005 - March 2006

Designed & developed marine propulsion equipment such as bow thrusters, Z-drives.

Experience in developing detailed drawings, schematics, bills of materials, shop routers and test procedures for thruster assemblies and electrical and hydraulic support and control system.

Gained experience with diesel engines, electric motors, gear transmissions, sealing, lubrication and hydraulic power systems.

Designed different, various pumping systems, equipment and tools for the Petrol-Chemical and Oil Industries. Designed firewater pump package systems according to NFPA 20. The Project Engineer under direction develops designs, general drawing, and chooses adequate equipment according to customer’s specification. Designed complete drive tram of different kinds of pumps including all controls and instrumentations. Develop P&ID design. Completed Data Sheets. Supervise Pumping systems, component fabrication. Collect technical information and design installation, Operation & Maintenance Instructions Book.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Complete tooling design for Turbo-charged diesel engine and parts. Developed programs for CNC machine, implemented new types of tools and improved production. o FAMOS, Sarajevo-Yugoslavia, was Yugoslavia’s biggest Diesel Engine production factory, it had about 13,000 employees. The factory had two parallel programs:
