PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

BECHTEL OIL GAS & CHEMICALS

Houston, TX

Chevron’s Wheatstone LNG Project, Process Engineer

Dec 2016 – Jan 2017*

EPC, large-scale project located in Onslow, Australia, 11 MTPA capacity

-Successfully resolved discrepancies between Process Safety Time (PST) for a given interlock and process control strategy as outlined in the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) report; calculated PSTs for each safety scenario and worked closely with Controls Systems to ensure instrument reaction time was sufficient; adjusted alarm set points for short PSTs

Tellurian’s Driftwood LNG Project, Process Engineer

Aug 2016 – Nov 2016*

FEED, midscale project located in Calcasieu Parish, LA, 26 MTPA capacity

-Worked alongside design experts to significantly reduce project schedule by implementing reliable design strategies while maintaining quality and inherent safety of equipment

-Sized gas processing equipment and other OSBL equipment using SimSci Pro/II

-Prepared PSFS (Process Safety Flow Sketches) to include process control strategies, relief valves, control valves, and piping specifications to aid in safety analysis during HAZOP review

-Performed MDMT calculations for low temperature equipment; recommended materials of construction

-Determined relief scenarios and prepared detailed narratives for various equipment

Parallax’s Mississippi River LNG Project, Process Engineer

Mar 2015 – Mar 2016

FEED, midscale project located in Plaquemine, LA, 6 MTPA capacity

-Executed various front-end studies to prepare FERC filing in a timely manner, while determining the design basis for equipment in both ISBL and OSBL facilities

-Performed hydrate study to determine minimum pipeline gas temperature into plant

-Calculated first-fill refrigerant inventory and annual fill-rate; worked together with Procurement to determine annual cost of refrigerant inventory

-Analyzed various de-inventory scenarios and calculated refrigerant loss due to pressure loss; collaborated with Environmental and Operations to determine the most feasible and cost effective approach to reduce losses

-Prepared Hot Oil and Fuel Gas balances based on duty requirements and fuel gas demand

-Performed MDMT calculations using HYSYS; recommended materials of construction and metal thickness

-Developed process flow diagrams (PFDs)

Chevron’s Wheatstone LNG Project, Process Engineer

Sep 2012 – Mar 2015

EPC, large-scale project located in Onslow, Australia, 11 MTPA capacity

-Led effort to finalize a ‘Load Shedding Philosophy’ which determined a logical, safe, and feasible ‘load shedding’ sequence in the event a 32 MW generator shuts down; collaborated with Electrical, Control Systems, Operations, and other functions to derive the optimal solution

-Generated Heat & Material Balances (H&MBs) and Fuel Gas balances for all cases

-Determined alarm set points for temperature, pressure, and flow controls; performed PST calculations for various process control interlocks and worked closely with Control Systems to ensure accurate transfer of information

-Performed extensive calculation to verify defrost gas system based on piping isometrics and energy balance

-Closed out various HAZOP items by updating pressure safety valves and emergency depressuring calculations based on new safety scenarios

-Acted as a liaison with BASF Chemicals to finalize H&MBs and the Guarantee Agreement

Process Engineering Technician

Feb 2012 – Aug 2012*

-Scribed in weekly meetings that served to distribute technical knowledge and lessons learned for Process Engineers across all LNG projects (Angola, Australia Pacific, Corpus Christi, Gladstone, Sabine Pass, and Wheatstone LNG)

-Assisted engineers with quality checking of process documents, updating datasheets, and tracking the status of process deliverables to meet schedule demands (Wheatstone LNG Project)

* Contracted with Talascend Employment Agency

CAREGIVER FOR FAMILY

2007-2012

BRUSTER’S REAL ICE CREAM

Atlanta, GA

Franchise Owner

2005-2008

-Prepared, analyzed, and monitored all monthly and quarterly financial reporting including forecasting, operating budgets, tax reporting, sales and inventory

-Direct management, hiring and development of staff; cultivated a service oriented environment in which employees were motivated to deliver top performance

-Demonstrated community leadership by developing relationships and creating fund raising events
