PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
Production and Operation Engineer Pondy Die Cast, India Nov 2015 – July 2016
Oversaw manufacturing and operation in Injection die casting plant- supplier to Hyundai, Bridgestone and Nissan.
Created production schedule, released raw materials, monitored the quality of component and running machines.
Maintained production logs, processed monitoring sheets, served as sufficient channel of communication between store, quality, secondary machining and dispatch, ensured completion of a change requests and defect fixes within stipulated timeframe.
Maintained the operator records and update the statistics in ERP, Oversaw 5S implementation in workstation.
Assisted quality department in preparation of control plans, carried out Root cause analysis.
Keynote:
Developed OEE analysis and subsequently developed Skill matrices for plant personnel.
Represented production department in the test run and successfully bagged the Bridgestone India contract for unit bracket and body bracket components.
Set a new benchmark in my shift by giving 3% increase in the production output.
First in-plant engineer to get trained in ERP handling and trained the other shift engineers in the same and oversaw Roadmap ERP implementation.
Production Engineer United Food Products, India Jun 2015- Oct 2015
Fixed the daily production schedules, brief operators and released materials.
Performed quality Control, 5S in factory floor and lean implementation.
Handled data in ERP, maintain route sheets and logs.
Ensure and served as sufficient channel of communication between various departments and production performed cost control and OEE (Overall Equip Effectiveness) analysis.
Keynote:
Core member in redesigning plant layout and it resulted in reduction of lead time per unit by 8 seconds.
Awarded best trainee engineer 2015 for production department for excellent track record.
Production Intern Shri Mother Plastic Injection Die Casting, India May 2014- Sep 2014
Learned techniques and processes involved in plastic injection die casting and crisis handling in a real factory floor.
Worked under production engineer on overseeing the operations and maintaining production records, prod-quality checks and assisting in client audits.
Trained in production part approval process (PDAP), process flow charts, quality control charts.
TECHNICAL PROJECTS
Supply chain management Jan 2017
Studies and designed production networks to analyze transportation and production cost options, global supply chain network to analyze on-shoring and offshoring decisions, computing demand forecast using static and dynamic models and finding best parameter values using error measures, optimized delivery strategy using economics of scale, worked on case studies pertaining to the working of Walmart stores, seven-eleven, tiffany, blue nile, amazon, macy’s, forever young, kloss planters and harvesters and home depot, elementary knowledge on Toyota production system(TPS).
Ergonomic Work-desk design for pregnant/ obese population Apr 2017
Designed an ergonomic computer Work-desk to accommodate pregnant/ obese population, simulated and analyze-cum-charted various musculoskeletal stresses associated with postures in the existing and proposed table using JACK 8.2.Our proposed table reduced m-stresses in 3 positions and validated the same in Jack 8.2.
Vehicle Occupant Packaging Evaluation Oct 2016
Carried out package evaluations, benchmarks of storage compartment of mid-compact sedans based on ease of access & usability, collected customer feedbacks on various attributes of storage compartment, apply statistical analysis to support findings and suggested improvements on ergonomic issues.
Quality Function Deployment Nov 2016
Applied QFD technique to Instrument Panel for Audi A4 MY2015 and benchmarked against Merc-Benz C class MY15 and BMW 3 series MY15 sedans. Developed Vehicle level attributes/sub-attributes/ primary specifications of Target vehicle and converted customer needs into engineering requirements and also studied subjective judgments of driver/Ergonomics evaluation-IP Cluster/Suggested Ergonomic improvements and
Design and statistical analysis of Dataset using MINITAB tool Dec 2016
Performed normality checks, ANOVA and Hypothesis testing on collected data to check critical and non-critical regions, test statistic, p-value on school test scores.
Design and analysis of leaf spring using Composite materials Apr 2015
Designed and fabricated a composite material substitute using e-glass fiber and epoxy resin for leaf spring of a light load carrier and conducted both destructive testing (Tensile and Flexural testing) and analysis using Ansys17.0 to determine load carrying capacity of the material) and achieved 30% reduction in weight of material with increase in mechanical strength.
