KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible to ensure operational excellence in all warehouse areas, including the efficient operations of warehouse management systems and related equipment.
Evaluates the effectiveness of and recommends alternatives for work methods, procedures, systems, controls and staffing to improve operational productivity, order management and shipping and receiving of customer products on a timely basis.
Leads associates and peers to anticipate and solve problems and plan for upcoming events. Ensure warehouse layout is optimally aligned for maximum efficiency. P&L management,capital/expense budget management.
Implement systems/processes to maintain accuracy, and deliver materials to manufacturing when they are needed. This role will include direct supervision of the receiving team and material handlers. Create and deploy a holistic inventory plan within the factory which includes inventory accuracy and implementation of cross functional processes to maintain correct inventory levels and mitigate/eliminate obsolete / slow moving inventory. Goal setting, training and daily supervision of the distribution/logistics staff.
Will foster an environment of continuous improvement that supports the company's goals and objectives . Maintain warehouse process documentation with Regulatory/QA to meet compliance. Management of KPIs: Inventory turns,order tracking, order status, rate of returns, Inventory accuracy, back order rates, ect . Plan and monitor daily labor needs based on immediate and forecasted order and unit volumes. work with in-house buyers to ensure adequate stocking levels are met.
SAFETY:
Ensures a Culture of Safety through out the facility by following all safety policies and procedures .
Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations. Practical and technical in-depth knowledge in the following areas : Electrical safety, lock out/Tag out, confined space, fall protection, rigging and hoisting. Ensure integrity, credibility and timeliness of accident and injury reporting .Responsibilities to include: ergonomics, machine guarding, hazard communication, powered industrial vehicles, electrical safety, fire protection & emergency preparedness, driver safety and safe delivery processes.
Ensure high standards for housekeeping are maintained in all areas of the facilities. Safeguard security of company property and personnel. Initiate, conduct and maintain records of safety training for company. Participating in loss investigations/interviews recommending prosecution or corrective action; coordinating and monitoring restitution.
LABOR PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT:
Reviews inventory reports and cycle counts, and other available material, plans for future fluctuations in warehouse operations. Developed Inventory strategies to keep inventory cash from being tied up or tracking obsolete/access inventory daily.
Provide direction and assistance to DC team about required resources needed to respond to workload variances.
Responsible for daily scheduling of personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner .
Monitor and enhance individual performance through clearly defined expectations, training, coaching and counseling to achieve required results.
Assesses talent of supervisors and provide feedback for career planning, goals, and development plans.
Responsible for the progressive disciplinary processes in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings .
Ensure new associates are properly trained in their jobs and that there is on- going cross-training of associates.
Kronos 4500-payroll management .
Coach, train, and develop associates informally and through formal training programs, providing both informal and formal (on-floor coaching) and formal (written evaluation), job performance
based feedback.
Establish and manage key performance indicators and other related measurements, providing analysis, reporting and recommendations in a timely manner.
Monitor warehouse safety, physical security and operations metrics on a daily basis, weekly, monthly basis. provides direction, leadership, development and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, on-the-job assignments and continuous improvement initiatives.

FINANCIALS:
Establish budgets for the facility and implements controls necessary to keep expenses within budget limitations, inventory control.
Inventory control department to facilitate timely investigations and adjustments . Responsible for inventory accuracy within the Distribution Center .
Manage WIP process with production/vendors related to inventory stored at the warehouse.
CUSTOMER FOCUS:
Directly responsible for ensuring Customers' needs are met, service is managed to key performance indicators, and any Customer concern is handled promptly and completely.
Investigates customer complaints involving such matters as damaged product or equipment, over charges and delays in unloading, picking, packing and shipping.
Generate monthly supplier scorecard, share with suppliers, and monitor corrective action. Lead efforts as required to raise the quality and delivery performance of suppliers, or replace them with a supplier that can meet our expectations

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, with a focus on Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management. 1976-1980
