Design for Manufacturing – Redesign of a Consumer Product: - Applying Design for Manufacturing and Assembly methods for redesigning a consumer product from the design phase to reduce the manufacturing cost and increase the manufacturability.

Design of HVAC System for an Office Building: - Designed a HVAC system for an office building using REVIT MEP and AutoCAD software. Compared our design with the basic design of E-Quest. Achieved a 10% reduction in average utility bill.

Design of Passenger Seat in Automobiles: - Designing a massage chair which can replace the existing passenger seat using AutoCAD & SolidWorks to provide a more luxuries and comfortable drives. Solidworks 3D rendering is used to demonstrate the final product.

ERP Simulation: - Established a virtual company that produces and sells different kinds of Muesli across the Germany market. The goal of this simulation game is to develop a business strategy for maximizing the profits. Production planning, procurement, invoicing, running MRP, sales forecasting, distribution, financial accounting etc., are all managed to run the business successfully with a profit. SAP ERP system is utilized during the game.

Study on AM processed Inconel parts: Detailed study was conducted and reported on various techniques of manufacturing of Inconel parts for aerospace applications using Additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping

Experience:

New Product Development- Refrigerator Bottom Seal:

Developed a refrigerator seal that would help in covering the space under the refrigerator.

Conducted Ethnographic study, need gathering & analysis, studying market for similar products & conducting risk analysis for the product, Concept generation, Prototyping and testing is conducted.

Submitted the idea for American dreams competition conducted by HSN.

Engaged in every aspect of the development process and interacting with a group that comes from a diverse background.

Team Member – Drillbotics Design Team

Designing an automatic Drill rig for 2017 Drillbotics competition using SolidWorks.

Focus is to design and optimize the rig structure to meet competition requirements and submitting a detailed design report to finish the first round of the competition.
