Design, Optimization and parametric Analysis of steering knuckle component for an Automobile

(May 2017)

Structural analysis of a steering knuckle was done in ANSYS by applying different loading conditions and found that the Factory of Safety was achieved for the component. Material optimization was carried out and an alternative material, Aluminium alloy 6063-T5, was proposed. Also, shape optimization was done and resulted in 111 grams weight reduction from the actual weight which also achieved the safety factor.

Wall Mount Holder for Raspberry pi2 case (Apr 2016) Designed a Raspberry pi2 case holder with a circular profile using SolidWorks and printed the case holder in MakerBot 3-D printer to fix a magnet and attach it on any metallic surface and pivot to any direction. Considering the design constraints, two detachable screw holes and 3 USB ports were introduced to mount the holder.

Improving Power Steering Efficiency by Reducing Contamination in the Field of Automobile, Rane Power Steering Ltd, India (May 2015)

As an active team player, analyzed 3 among the 10 child part components of power steering which had more contamination and suggested a solution to reduce the contamination by using an ultrasonic washing machine after conventional washing. The specification level of the components were better when tested on this machine. The suggestion was accepted by the industry and is currently in use. SKILLS SUMMARY
