Amtex Packaging, Inc. was a wholesale and retail distributor of packaging
products, operating from a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse office building.
My duties as office and warehouse manager included:
Customer relations. Soliciting and receiving orders from customers, then buying the products necessary to meet customer requirements from our vendors.
When the products arrived at our warehouse I would unload the trucks,
check to make sure the product met specifications and then ship or deliver to
the customer. I am a certified fork lift driver. It was my responsibility to insure that delivery dates were met, both by our vendors and by Amtex. It was also my responsibility to maintain inventory levels for the products we stocked and sold from that stock. I was responsible for billing the customers and making sure the vendors had charged us the correct price. I also participated in direct solicitation and sales to customers.
