Dear Hiring Manager,

Atlanta has quickly become a hub for successful millennials, sparking my drive to become a successful marketing and communications professional. I have personally been able to grow and learn greatly from the diversity brought to this city, and would love the opportunity to showcase my creative skills amongst business professionals not only nationally, but internationally as well.

I am passionate about mending the gap of communication between culturally different groups of people. For instance, I enjoyed being able to frequently interact with my peers at Spelman who were from all walks of life to build stronger professional and personal relationships. As the popular Atlanta-based rap duo, Outkast, once said, “Communication rules the nation.”

I believe that my work experience has allowed me to acquire pivotal skills necessary to thrive in the communications and marketing world. For a year now, I have played a major role in assisting and rebranding a small Atlanta business: Creative Options. Some of the skills I learned to hone while working for Creative Options include organizing fundraising campaigns, project management and even utilizing my strong writing and speaking skills to communicate with others. Working for this business has allowed me to oversee creative direction for many projects, while giving me experience as a team leader amongst my peers.

I am confident in my leadership skills that allow me to work efficiently in groups of any size. I believe I can flourish with my creative prowess and the ability to bring an original spin to any product that I handle. I am proficient in many business applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, Office Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), and SunShop Administration (back office application). Before you consider me for a position on your team, consider my passion and devotion to communications and marketing.
