BMC Software, TX, USA (location: Pune, India, Sophia, France; Mar 2010 - October 2014) Product Development: BMC Footprints Asset Core

BMC Footprints Asset Core performs automated IT asset management that enables the discovery, configuration, management of IT endpoints.

Environment: C++, Objective C, Win32 API, Carbon C++ API, Cocoa Objective C API, Sockets, TCP/IP, RDP, Java Swing, CVS source control, Visual Studio 2010, XCode, Eclipse, Google Test.

● Involved in SCRUM methodology of development

● Wrote C++ and Objective C based Cocoa APIs to generate the UI for agents on Mac OSX environments.

● Wrote C++ and Carbon APIs to implement the Keyboard and Mouse events for the Remote Desktop protocol on Mac OSX environments

Autodesk Product Manager (APM) is a software asset management (SAM) tool, which scans a computer network and finds and lists Autodesk products used by the network/organization. This tool is used for license compliance purposes. Environment: C MFC, COM, ATL, Win32 APIs, Flex LM API's, Subversion, Visual Studio 2008.

● Analyzed requirements with the Autodesk product manager and created use cases for version 5.0 of APM. This version would enhance the network scanning ability of APM by deploying agent executable's to remote hosts. These agents would collect information on Autodesk products and report back to the server.

● Worked on Architecture/Design document detailing the technical changes made to the product

● Wrote C++, MFC and COM code to make necessary changes for APM 5.0

Product Development: Compupay Payroll Online, Bizpart and Sage Webservices Payroll online is a web product used for payroll management providing a web interface for a desktop based product called Millennium which processes payroll in the server. Millennium exposes payroll data through COM based API's. The communication between Payroll online and Millennium is achieved through COM calls. Environment: C #, C++, COM, ASP.NET 2.0, ADOBE FLEX 3.0, Java, JavaScript, SQL Server 2005, NUnit, Subversion source control, Cruise Control.NET, MS-Build, Visual Studio.NET 2005, Eclipse Flex Builder 3.0 and Eclipse Java edition

● Determined and analyzed requirements with the product owner based on the product backlog

● Quickly learned ADOBE FLEX 3.0 framework and developed FLEX UI components and ASP.NET services for the Bizpart system.

The layer which talked to Outlook was written in C++. Environment: C #, C++, COM,XML, QuickBooks SDK, Outlook SDK, Google Maps API, Developer Express controls and Sybase 9.0 database server, RTPatch.

● Participated in complete product development lifecycle

● Determined requirements with the Intuit product manager based on customer pain points

● Involved in analyzing requirements with the Intuit product manager and Intuit UI designers

● Wrote code to develop the enhancements and fix bugs in the product
