Medical Assistant

I am responsible for going through all patients’ medications, allergies, and any problems they may be having each time they come in for a visit and shoot X-Rays and do EKGs when necessary. I check vitals and report any problems that are found to the doctor on duty, immediately. I alternate working on the floor with patients, with working in the laboratory drawing blood, running the blood tests, processing urine samples, and cleaning the lab and lab machines/equipment at the end of each day. When I have down time, I file lab documents in labeled folders and patient documents in specific areas of that patient’s folder. My job requires that I always be alert, attentive, organized, detail oriented, and of course, extremely clean.

I taught customers of their pool system operations, clean/maintain chemical balance in each customer’s pool, and make sure the pool and area around the pool is up to par with the company (and the customers) standards.
