SunTrust is a US based one of the leading banks.

Currently associated as Business analyst consultant for Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) Model Data Confidence project its initiative was kicked off to assess and document the sufficiency of controls for the data used in the models supporting the CCAR FRY-14A Submission and design and implement a remediation plan to address issues found. The key objectives were to document all data sources, assess the adequacies of existing controls, recommend and design additional data controls to mitigate and identified risk, implement and test the designed controls for the 2016 FRY-14 A submission. This effort will also work to address additional regulatory efforts associated to SR 11-7 and BCBS 239 regulation round data quality, management and governance.

Responsibilities:

Analyze the Model inventory list sent by client, identify the models which are in scope, retired and duplicate.

Key stake holders/SMEs were identified and interviewed to understand the complete flow of data used in execution of the model and any existing controls currently in place.
