Work Experience
Tsuu T'ina Roads Construction - Calgary, AB - August 2013 to February 2014
Heavy duty technician. I consider my first year Pre-employment eight week training I received from Olds College 2016 as work experience. Learning safety in the workplace, learning about what tools and measurements to use. How to use tools and measurements in theory and in the shop. We changed brakes, seals, drive shafts, removed tires from a semi truck. I also learned to use lifting equipment such as hydraulic jacks, disassemble and assemble a fifth wheel. I also learned about hydraulic brake systems.
I was also employed for one year with the Tsuu T'ina Roads Construction 2013 - 2014. I cleaned the shop: floors, tools, machines. I helped maintenance Caterpillar graders, Takeuchi (skidster), Lamtrac, tandem trucks, GMC 3500 Trucks, trackhoe, backhoe, and Sanders. I helped change all fluids: oil, transmission, coolant. Also changed filters: oil, fuel, air, etc. Other duties: cut with acetylene torch, change grader blades, change grader hoses, and change tires.
